"Oh that men would praise the LORD for His goodness and for His wonderful works to the children of men!" - Psalm 107:8
No less than four times in this one psalm do we find these words, and there's good reason--because of all that God in His goodness has done for us, oh, how we should praise Him!!! When I think of how His goodness and mercy have been following me all of my life, I can't help but praise Him. And when I think of how extremely good He has been to Fellowship Chapel for nearly eighty-five years, my heart overflows with praise! This past Sunday as we gathered for the first time in the unbelievably beautiful sanctuary that God in His goodness has provided His people, my heart was bursting with thanksgiving to God. As one worship song puts it, "The Spirit of the Lord is in this place!" His presence was so sweet and so real, and I believe it's but a foretaste of things to come. Thank you for believing in the vision; thank you for praying as the building project was launched; thank you for your generous and faithful financial support over these past couple of years as well as your continued giving as we seek to pay off the remaining debt as quickly as possible. And thank you for being the most wonderful group of believers any pastor on earth could hope to shepherd!!!! Let's keep praising Him for His goodness and for His wonderful works to Fellowship Chapel!!!
